FOSÉL Privacy Policy
The FOSÉL app helps you keep a ritual with your beard oil: log applications, track streaks, get reminders and take progress photos. This policy explains what happens to your information.
The short version
Everything you put in the app stays on your phone. We don't collect it, we can't see it, and we don't sell it. The app has no account, no sign-in, no ads and no analytics or tracking tools.
What the app stores on your device
- Your log: which oil you used, when, and any notes you write.
- Your profile: your first name, your beard goal and which FOSÉL oils you own, used only to personalize the app.
- Your progress photos: photos you take with the app or import from your library.
- Your settings: such as your reminder time.
This information is saved only in the app's private storage on your device. We never receive a copy.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera: to take progress photos. Photos aren't uploaded anywhere.
- Photo library: to save your progress photos or before-and-after images to Photos when you choose "Save to Photos", and to import an older photo you pick. The app only reads the photos you select.
- Notifications: to send your daily reminder. Reminders are scheduled on your device; no server is involved.
You can turn any of these off in your phone's Settings. The app still works for what remains.
Sharing
The app shares nothing on its own. When you tap Share on a before-and-after card, your phone's share sheet opens and you choose where it goes (Messages, Instagram and so on). That app's own privacy policy then applies to what you send.
Deleting your data
Deleting an entry or photo in the app removes it from your device. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children
The app isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If we add features that change how information is handled (for example, optional cloud backup in a future version), we will update this policy and tell you in the app before it applies to you.
